Gamification from Quickspin

We all know that Quickspin pokies are fun. After all, they offer a lot of different and original gaming features. These ensure that you will constantly be on the edge of your seat, while being confronted with beautiful animations on the conveyor belt. Unique features, attractive designs, and high winning chances are fantastic reasons to choose this manufacturer’s pokies, but there is more. Quickspin is also involved in the gamification of their products. Now, you will probably wonder: What exactly is gamification? How is this supposed to make me like certain online casino games more, and to what extent is Quickspin engaged in this?

What exactly is gamification?

In a nutshell, ‘gamification’ equates to adding game elements to an existing product or process. In other words, you turn something into a game. Or if the existing product is already a game, you add extra game elements. This creates more competitions, challenges and contests for you to get involved in. And that, of course, immediately makes playing a lot more fun!

There are various reasons for Quickspin to apply the principle of gamification. After all, by doing so you appeal to more diverse types of players while ensuring more player interaction. The additional features equate to innovation, which is, of course, always positive. With those additional game elements, there are more ways to have a good time playing a particular slot machine. And Quickspin has done that in a wonderfully fun and clever way.

Quickspin has managed to apply the principle of gamification in a particularly fun way. Indeed, their video pokies feature an innovative mini-game displayed above each video slot’s play screen. The player’s goal is to meet the objectives listed there, so you can qualify for all extra prizes. And there are several ways you can do that.

Objectives and challenges

First of all, you can use achievements. If you look closely, you can find a coin in the top left corner of your screen at every Quickspin pokie machine. When you click on it, you will be taken to a sort of menu with different objectives. Have you met the requirements of one of the achievements? Then you can claim the corresponding prize, which is given as tokens. You can save these tokens until you have enough to redeem them for a bonus feature. So, at some point, you can be guaranteed access to free spins (or any other available game feature) by filling in enough tokens.

Another form of gamification used by Quickspin is a list of challenges. These are certain challenges that are displayed in your game. For instance, the game may ask you to get a screen full of a certain symbol. If you manage that, you qualify for a prize, and you can move on to the next challenge. Of course, these become increasingly difficult, but so do the associated prizes. And so you can qualify for a lot of extra play money.

Temporary additions to the game

So you can use additional game features such as objectives and challenges. (Note that not all online casinos offer the additional game features as this is optional). These are always displayed in your screen, but this is only true for some forms of gamification that Quickspin engages in. They also have other methods of promoting their games, such as temporary designs. So you can count on video pokies from this developer to look different on certain days, such as Christmas or Easter. And, of course, the same goes for the challenges and achievements that can be seen at the top.

As if that wasn’t enough, there are also occasional events you can run into. Sometimes, Quickspin will set up a specific competition in which you can participate. If you want to participate in these, all you have to do is open a participating game and follow the instructions, as the rest is self-explanatory. These occasional events can involve leagues, competitions or you name it. And so you can also count on winning a lot of extra pennies with such an event! So that makes playing even more fun than it already was, giving you yet another reason to put your luck to the test on one of the many different Quickspin pokies!
